Why is it important to produce in an eco-sustainable way?
Green companies are those able to optimise processes and products to minimise environmental impact. Engaging in this sense is everyone’s duty, because climate changes are damaging ecosystems at an unprecedented rate. Now, due to climate change, major natural disasters are on the agenda and pose a serious threat to us and future generations, endangering the health and survival of entire natural ecosystems.
Produce in a careful and sustainable manner, therefore, is a responsible choice that every company should make, a mirror of a renewed mentality and sensitivity that we hope will soon become also a legal obligation.
Ferplast: the wooden products certificated FSC
Aware that the harmony of the relationship between man and his friends in the animal kingdom is also based on the respect for the environment in which they both live, Ferplast uses as much as possible in its production processes recyclable, recycled and sustainable materials.
A few years ago we created the Tree Friend brand, a mark traceable in all wooden products, aimed at ensuring the correct origin of the material used for the production of outdoor dog houses, rabbit hutches, bird cages etc.
At the end of 2019 we obtained an even more significant recognition, namely the FSC® certification (Forest Stewardship Council), an internationally accredited system. The FSC brand is the main guarantee mechanism on the origin of wood and paper and identifies products made with raw materials deriving from properly managed and controlled forests or plantations.
Forests purify the air, protect biodiversity, constitute the natural habitat of many species and play a crucial role in mitigating the effects of climate changes. This is why it is important to check that the wooden products purchased are marked with the FSC certification!
