TRICK OR TREAT?

Let’s celebrate Halloween with homemade pumpkin doggie biscuits!

Halloween is here. Everywhere we look scary pumpkin faces look out at us from doorsteps and balconies, pumpkin faces our kids carved with all the fantasy of this great holiday. We’re ready to put on our most frightening costumes, don our capes and ring nearby doorbells to greet our neighbours with “Trick or Treat!?”
Toto may not, absolutely not, help us eat all the delicious candies and treats we get. They are really very bad for him. So let’s make him some really delicious, special homemade pumpkin biscuits he CAN eat to keep him happy too!

A bit of pumpkin, some whole wheat flour and a tad of peanut butter… it doesn’t take much to make really tasty treats for our faithful companions.

Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

120gr pumpkin puree;

400gr whole wheat flour;

40gr oatmeal;

2 eggs;

3 tablespoons of peanut butter.

Preparation:

Put the flour and the oatmeal in a bowl. Mix the eggs, the pumpkin puree (boil the pumpkin flesh for a bit and then mash with a fork) and the peanut butter. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and knead until you have a nice consistent dough. Roll it out and cut your biscuits into any shape you want: little bones, pumpkins, cats, witch hats… Place them on a tray and bake in a 180°C oven for 30-35 minutes.

Et voilà, the Halloween biscuits for Toto are ready. Now all we have to do is make he doesn’t eat too many of them!
